Eugene Waters, age 80, of Alma passed away August 8, 2024 at Twin Oaks Nursing Home after an extended illness. He was born June 27, 1944 in Metter, Georgia to the late Euell Waters and Jesse Jones Waters Norris. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a son, John Riley Waters, brothers, Wiley Waters, Paul Waters and Gordon Waters and sisters, Faye Himes and Glenda Wells.

Mr. Waters was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Raulette B. Waters; two children, Robert "Robbie" Waters (Amanda Lambert) and Dorothy "Dot" Harkleroad (Randy); two brothers, Thomas Waters and Alvin Waters; sister, Kay Reese (Clinton); 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 12, 2024, at 3:30 at Carters Chapel Church with Bishop R. B. Gaskins officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Monday at the church from 2:30 PM until service time.

Active pallbearers will be Rodney Reese, Ray Reese, Shannon Boatright, Jonathan Boyett, Andy Batten and Cabe Cartledge. Twin Oaks Nursing Home Staff will serve as honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
