Obituary

Eulain Wheeler Elton, named Willie Eulain Wheeler at the time of her birth, age 97, of McDonough,Georgia,  on April 28, 2018, died peacefully at her home from complications of congestive heart failure. Eulan was born on December 3,1920 in Jeff davis County, Georgia, the daughter of Willis Seaborn Wheeler and Ruby Mims. Growing up on a farm, she was an avid gardener all of her life. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, cooking, and serving others

In 1941, Eulain married her first and only love, John Ridd Elton. After John's service in the Army during WWII, John and Eulain eventually moved to Atlanta. In addition to raising three daughters, she was an active member of Lakewood Baptist Church and also volunteered for the PTA. Her passion was her family.

Eulain is survived by her three daughters Teresa (Gary) Akin, Melinda (Clay) Young, and Betty Elton. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren as well as other loving family members and adored friends

There will be a private graveside service for family members at the Campground Methodist Church in Nicholls, Georgia. Roger Johnson will lead the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name can be sent to Campground United Methodist Church, Nicholls, Georgia.

Crosby Funeral is in charge of arrangements.
