Evelyn Delores Dunlap, age 85, of Nicholls passed away February 8, 2024, at Bacon County Hospital after a brief illness. She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Cliford Douglas and Wilma Johnston Douglas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil E. Dunlap and brother, Jerald Douglas.

Mrs. Dunlap was a lifelong member of Lees Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Tony Dunlap (Cathy) of Roswell and Alan Dunlap (Pamela)of Alma; two grandchildren, Anna Margaret and Cecily Dunlap; five great-grandchildren, Richard Williams, III, Cheyenne Durrance, Oakleigh Durrance, Blakeleigh Durrance, and Liam Grant, sister Carolyn Lee (Steve), niece Sinda Jeffery (Willie), and nephew Steven Lee (Brittany).

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 11, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Delk and Rev. John Sasser officiating. Active pallbearers will be Chad Lee, Jay Graham, Devin Sears, Joey Yawn, Shawn Hall, and Richie Taylor. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escort. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 1:30 PM until service time.
