Evelyn Jane Taylor, age 86, of Alma passed away at Appling Healthcare November 13, 2016 after an extended illness. She was a native of Brantley County and daughter of the late Robert Jessie Johns and Niccie Moore Johns. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Andrew Jackson Taylor, five brothers, Roscoe, Ira, Barney, T. J. and James Moore and three sisters, Estelle Griffin, Alma Highsmith and Perlie Mae Harris. She was a member of Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ronald Jackson Taylor of Douglas and Don Taylor of Alma, three grandchildren, Jeremy Jackson of Warner Robins, GA., Santanna Rose Taylor and Dakota Taylor of Douglas, GA.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Greg Delk officiating. Interment will follow in Lee's Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday from 11:00 AM until funeral time.

Family will serve as active pallbearers.
