Evelyn Tyre, age 80, of Alma passed away October 13, 2021 at her residence after a short illness. Born on March 3, 1941 in Pierce County but lived most of her life in Bacon County. She was daughter of late Alvin Tyre and Erma Lightsey Tyre.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, James "Sug" Tyre, Omer Steedley, Sr., Olin Steedley and sister, Doris Boatright. Survivors include her daughter, Theresa Bryant of Alma; and sister-in-law, Demaris Hutto.

Memorialization will be by cremation.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
