Fernell Lee, age 87, of Alma died Saturday Dec. 5th, 2015 in Fernandina Beach, FL after a short illness. She was a native of Ware County and had lived most of her life in Bacon County. She was daughter of the late Rev. Ray T. Hill, Sr. and Mary Eula Benton Hill and was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Gerald Lee, Sr., step mother Eva Mae Hill and a brother Ray T. Hill, Jr. Mrs. Lee was a member of the Alma First Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons Alfred Gerald (Jerry) Lee (Peggy) of Alma, Paul Lee of Fernandina Beach, FL, Henry Lee (Genie) of Alma, a daughter Jane Lee Taylor Johnson (George Lawton) of Alma, seven grandchildren Anna Buehn (Tim), Trey Lee, Henry Ray Lee, II (Emili), Johnna Lee, Miranda Lee, Thomas Taylor (Rebecca) and Jessica Johnson (Brent); also 6 great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 14th at 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Wood and Rev. Rick Brown officiating and the grandchildren will give eulogies. Entombment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The body will be carried to the church at 1:00 PM Monday to lie in state.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday 6 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alma First Baptist Church Building Fund 201 North Church St. Alma, Georgia 31510

Active pallbearers will be; Trey Lee, Lt. Tim Beuhn, Brent Johnson, Lt. Commander Thomas Taylor, H. R. Lee, II, Ray T. Hill, III, Jadon Taylor, Robert Westberry, Bruce Benton, Foster & Chuck Rowland, Teddy Solomon, David & Chip Beal, John E. & David Lee, Tracy McDonald, Steve Collins and Jimmy Wheeler. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
