Foster White, age 73, of Alma passed away suddenly February 16th at the Bacon County Hospital. He was born May 24, 1941 in Bacon County to the late Stanford and Luna Wade White. He was a long-time mechanic at Texgas, Inc. and in later years engaged in full time blueberry farming. Foster was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy White, brother-in-law, Cecil Tanner, sister-in-law, Mary White, niece, Sandi Tanner Holland and two nephews, Bryson & Jessie Holland.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Maureen Blanton White, son, Lawrence White (Christi) of Alma, four daughters, Lori Smith (Keith) of Alma, Rhonda Rhodes (Al) of Eufaula, AL., Charlotte Eason and Tammy Kinlaw (Stevie) of Alma, 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren all of Alma, three brothers, Ruby White (Gale), Neil White, Sr. and Ray White (Patricia), one sister, Eloise Tanner, two brother-in laws, Larry Blanton of Alma and Johnny Dykes of Lake City, FL.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 18th at 2:00 PM at Corinth Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Horton officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 9 PM. The body will be carried to the church at 1:00 PM to lie in state.

Active pallbearers will be; Maj Eason, Dusty & Colt Kinlaw, Lance, Curtis, Mike and Stan White and Blake Spires. All others in attendance will be considered honorary.
