Frances Turner, age 84, of Alma went home to be with the Lord Sunday, July 24th at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was born on May 5, 1932 to the late George Middleton Brantley and Eva Lee Erwin Brantley and preceded in death by her husband Otis Cephus "Bunny" Turner, three brothers George, Valene and James Brantley and a sister Eva Mae Brantley. She was a Member and Organist at New Lacy Church of God.
Survivors include three sons, Freddy Turner of Summerville, SC., Danny J. Turner (Cindy) of Alma and Jason Turner (Diantha "D") of Alma, daughter Renae Deen (Charles) of Alma, brother Talmadge Brantley (Edna) of Haywood, CA., three sister-in-laws, Martha Brantley of Dublin, GA., Madeline Brantley of Rhode Island and Dee Brantley of Colorado; also 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 27th at 11:00 AM at New Lacy Church of God with Rev. Stan Long, Rev. Danny Turner and Freddy Peacock officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 to 8 PM.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Twin Oaks Nursing Home.
Active pallbearers will be; Roger Turner, Jimmy Turner, Randy Turner, Richard Turner, Shawn Turner, Trampus Turner and Sammy Young. Honorary pallbearers will be; Staff of Bacon County Hospital, Staff of Twin Oaks Nursing Home and the New Lacy Ladies Ministries.
