Freda Thomas, age 69, of Mershon passed away on Friday, April 23, 2021 at her residence after a short illness. She was born on November 3, 1951 in Fulton County to Marvin Robert Sargent and Mary Corbitt Sargent. She was retired from Southern Nuclear/ Plant Hatch and was a member of Wesley Chapel Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Brent Justin Thomas. Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Bruce Thomas of Mershon; two children, Bruce Thomas (Kaye) and Lisa Miles (Leslie) of Alma; four grandchildren, Brianna Carreno, Trey Thomas, Justin and Joshua Chesnut; one brother, Ray Sargent of Covington and one sister, Ellen Ellard (Dale) of Greensboro.

A graveside service will be held Monday, April 26, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Williams and Rev. Charles Hutcheson officiating.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
