Obituary

Freddie Ann Wood, age 77, of Madison, Ga. died at her home Thursday July 12 th , 2018 after an extended illness.  She was a native of Bacon County but had lived in Social Circle, GA since 2006 before moving to Madison in 2016.  She was daughter of the late James Fred Brigman and Frances Wanell Martin Brigman  and was also preceded in death by her husband Willis Wood and two sisters Beth Spencer and Joannie Marie Brigman. Freddie Ann was a member of the Marantha Baptist Church of Lilburn, GA.

Survivors include a son William Franklin (Billy) wood and wife Tina of Grayson, GA. a daughter Suzann Piper and husband Lyle of Madison, two brothers Jimmy Brigman of Baxley, Anthony (Tony) Brigman of Waycross, three sisters Brenda Brigman of Baxley, Judi Turner and Angela Brigman both of Alma, four grandchildren Corey Wood, Cody Wood, Tyler Piper and Shelby Ann Piper.  Also five great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00 o'clock at The Church of the Nazarene on 20 th Street with Rev. Jim Stalling, Dr. Larry Wood and Rev. Richard Jelley officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 6 and 9 P M.  The body will be carried to the church Tuesday at 12 noon to lie in state one hour.

Active pallbearers will be Brent Spencer, Bobby Hutchinson, Tim Loggins, Travis Whitaker, Brian and Bruce Templeton, Mack and Lindy Rowland.  Honorary will be the Class of 1958, Willie Altman, Patsy Thompson and Sandra Orvin.
