Obituary

Fredrick Woodrow Joyner, age 67, of Alma passed away at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. Born in Jacksonville, Florida on November 1, 1953 to Woodrow Joyner and Betty Rigdon Lewis. He served in the US Army and was a retired Brick Mason.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Joyner; great granddaughter, Heaven Lee and brother, Jessie James Joyner.  Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Brenda Miller Joyner of Alma; three daughters, Lora Spivey (Joseph) of Alma, Angela Jarrell (Dale) of Jacksonville, FL and Crystal Taylor (Jered) of Alma; two sisters, Clara Brennan (J. J.) and Nellie Killgore (Billy) of Jacksonville, FL.; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday from 12:00 PM until funeral time.  Cremation will follow the funeral service.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
