Gail Godwin Arrington, age 64, of Alma passed away March 2, 2024 at Satilla Hospice in Waycross after an extended illness. She was born September 15, 1959 in Bacon County to the late Cecil B Godwin, Sr. and Birdie Morgan Godwin.

She was a member of New Hope Congregational Methodist Church and held many vocations in service to the residents of Bacon County.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Arrington; two children, Sergeant First Class Smokey Rowell (husband Alex Allabach) and Samantha Rowell; three grandchildren, Cecil Robertson, Riley Varela, and Jasper Carson; two brothers, Michael S Godwin (wife Cathy) and Cecil B Godwin Jr. (wife Sherri) and three fur-babies, Mercy, Lobo, and Nadia.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM at New Hope Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be Cecil Robertson, Jasper Carson, Elvin Varela, David Taylor, Jason Lee, and Joe Barber. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
