Gary Dewayne Tanner, age 70, of Alma passed away at Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Georgia after an extended illness. He was born on April 28, 1949 in Bacon County to Grady A. Tanner and Easter Meeks Tanner; besides his parents a brother Joey V. Tanner and two sisters Vernell T. Joiner and Jackie Marie Tanner Rogers preceded him in death.

Survivors include his daughter Milinda Brigman (Tim) of Trinity, FL., sister Verlene Johnson of Alma, granddaughter Paula Gooch (Wesley) of Apollo Beach, FL., five great-grandchildren Karley, Timothy, Matthew, Mason and Lily Gooch of Tampa, FL. and a special cousin Linda Varnadore of Alma.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, October 30 ^th at 11:00 at Wolf Pit Cemetery with Rev. T. F. Yawn and Rev. Danny Turner officiating.
