Gaye D. Carter, age 70, of Alma died Wednesday March 12 ^th , 2013 at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late Leroy Dubberly and Donna Mae Mullis Dubberly and was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Vernon Carter. Gaye was a member of the Alma United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son, Tim Carter (Kandace) of Alma, a sister, Carolyn Hill (Carl) of Alma.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Crosby officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6 and 8 P M.

Active pallbearers will be, Roy T., Keith, Junior, and Darrell Boatright, Jr., Tony Lee, Jr., Clay Hill, Michael Raulerson and David Pryor.  Honorary will be, Ervin & Joyce Cason, Eric Ho, Freddie & Linda Peacock, Patt Lott & Staff, Dr. Michael Deen, Dr. Harrison Carter & Staff, Ware Visiting Nurses, Lamar's Pharmacy Staff, Sandra Grantham, Erin Ellis, Betty Sue Maddox, Jan O'Steen, Charles Waters, Thomas Winslow, Winston Boatright, Dianne Fenn, Julian & Angie Rigby, Betty Morris, Mary Nell Thompson, Miriam Garcia and Nancy Dadeo.
