Genelda B. Boatright, age 75, passed away Friday May 24, 2019 at Twin Oaks nursing home after a short illness.  She was a native of Bacon County, a member of Living River Church of God, and the daughter of the late Silas Tyle Boatright and Pearl Barber. Her husband Willie Frank Boatright Sr., 2 sons Frank and Boyd Boatright, and a daughter Bonnie Annette Boatright and a brother, Denny Boatright also preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son Bruce Allen Boatright (Angela) of Nicholls, a daughter Pam Boatright (Renee) of Alma, 4 sisters Bernice White of Blackshear, Denise Lee of Alma, Doris Simpeler (Allen) of Smith Station, AL, and Barbara Ann McLean (Jackie) of Alma, 7 grandchildren Kyle, Chase, Marci, Dillan, Ian, Payton, and Lauren Boatright, and 2 great-grandchildren Landon and Layton Boatright.

Funeral services will be held Sunday May 26 ^th at 2 PM at the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. RB Gaskins officiating. Active pallbearers are Brock Young, Mike Boatright, Lance Carter, Kyle Carter, and Matt White. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escort. The family will be receiving friends Sunday from 12-2 PM. Internment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery.
