Genetha Deen, age77, of Mershon passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 11, 2020 after an extended illness. She was born in Bacon County on July 17, 1943 to Earnie Floyd Williams and Mary Magdalene Taylor Williams. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Omer Larry Deen and two brothers, James Earl Williams and Waymon Williams.                                                                                                                                                Mrs. Deen was retired from Milliken after many years of employment and was a member of New Lacy Church of God.

Survivors include two children, Earnie Alfred "Al" Deen of Mershon and Gina Thomas and husband Scottie of Nicholls, two grandchildren, Tyler and Bentley Thomas of Nicholls, one sister, Sharon Foster and husband Linton of Alma and dear friend, Hannah Woodcock.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 2:00 PM at New Lacy Church of God with Rev. Stan Long officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 PM.   Mask and social distancing are recommended.

Active pallbearers will be; Earnie Deen, Kevin Foster, Joel Williams, Joey Barber, Tracy Deen and Ricky Deen. Honorary pallbearers will be; Jimmy Turner, Randy Turner and Roger Turner.
