Obituary

George Bennie Tatum, age 64, of Nicholls went home to be with the Lord Thursday, October 13th at his residence after a short illness. Bennie is preceded in death by his mother Florence Hopper Tatum. He was a Dairy Farmer for many years, member of Alma First Baptist Church and was a Volunteer Fireman for the Ware County District.

Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Kathy Strickland Tatum of Nicholls, his
father and step mother George Tatum and Mary Lou Tatum of Nicholls, , two children, Benjamin Tatum of Alma and Robbin Richardson (Bob) of Blue Ridge, GA., two brothers, Jerry Tatum (Marie) and Tim Tatum both of Alma, one sister, Cathy Tatum of Alma and two grandchildren Bailey and Ella Richardson of Blue Ridge, GA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 15th at 12:00 PM at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Sweatt, Rev Matt Tuttle, Rev. Greg Delk and Rev. Don Patterson and Eulogy given by Rev. Gerald Douglas. The family will be receiving friends at Lee's Chapel Baptist Church from 10:00 AM Saturday until funeral time. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Curtis Jacobs, Stacey and Kyle Nobles, Lee Wynn, J.W. Swain and Danny Jacobs. Honorary pallbearers will be the Bacon County Fire Department and Volunteer Firemen.
