George W. Crutchfield, age 88, of Waycross, Georgia passed away at Hospice Satilla in Waycross Saturday, January 13, 2018 after an extended illness. He was born in Gracefield, Florida on November 27, 1929 to Bryant Crutchfield and Alma Miller Broon. A grandson Eric Allen Tiedt, III "Ricky", a great-grandson, Hunter Crutchfield, McQuaid infants, and five brothers, Melvin, Grady, John, Paul and R. M. Crutchfield preceded him in death. He was a member of Congregational Holliness Church.

Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Mary Lou Watkins Crutchfield of Waycross, a son, Charles "Buddy" Crutchfield (Brenda) of Citra, FL., three daughters, Judy Waters of Waycross, Mary Omari (Mazen) of Lake Wells, FL. and Patricia Tiedt (Wayne Friesen) of Mount Dora, FL.; also 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 17 ^th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Mac Dyal officiating.The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 12:00 PM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; James Gaskins, James Crutchfield, Scott and Matthew McQuaid and Troy Teidt. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
