Obituary

George Benjamin Tatum, age 95, of Nicholls passed away at his residence on August 6, 2020 after an extended illness. He was born in Clarksville, Georgia on February 22, 1925 to Floyd Tatum and Della Stewart Tatum. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Florence Hopper Tatum, son, Bennie Tatum, brothers, John Tatum and Rex Tatum and sisters, Ella Tatum and Esther Jacobs.

Mr. Tatum owned and operated Tatum Dairy Farms and he served in the US Army during WWII and Korean War. He was also a member of the Clarkesville Baptist Church.

Survivors include three children, Jerry Tatum and wife Marie of Nicholls, Tim Tatum and Cathy A. Tatum of Alma, 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held at Pine Lawn Cemetery Saturday, August 8th at 10:00 AM with Rev. Bob Richardson and Rev. Greg Delk officiating.

In lieu of flowers or food donations may be made to Lee's Chapel Baptist Church.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
