Geraldine Rigby Taylor, age 67, of Alma passed away at her residence on Saturday, November 28th after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late Walter B. Rigby and Mary Margie Simmons Rigby and was preceded in death by her husband J. C. Taylor, Jr., a daughter, Teresa Ware and a sister, Mary Ann Rigby. She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Tim Taylor (Wanda) and Tuck Taylor (Kayla) of Alma, one daughter, Tammy Martinez (Joe) of Jacksonville, FL., son-in-law, Kevin Ware of Baxley, six brothers, Riley Rigby, Gerald Rigby, Larry Rigby (Wanda), Roger Rigby (Pat), Donnie Rigby (Staria) all of Alma and Tony Rigby (Sheryl) of Lumber City, Ga. and half brother, Carl Rigby (Florence) of Alma, four sisters, Linda Medders (Gary), Debra Lee (Gordon), Judy Anderson (Michael) and Angie Davis (Roger) and a half sister, Frances Wade (Virgil) all of Alma.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 2nd at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Rigdon, Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating and Rev. Danny Carter will be doing the graveside service. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; D. J. Capps, Trent Ware, Lee Adams, Lawrence Adams, Gabe Adams and Gatlin Smith. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
