Gilbert H. Harvey, Sr., age 66, of Alma died at his home early Saturday morning August 18, 2012 after an extended illness. He was a native of Ware County but had lived in Bacon County most of his life. He was son of the late Herman J. Harvey and Alma Rowell Harvey and was also preceded in death by a brother, Edsel Harvey and sister, Laverne Harvey.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Taylor of Alma, his ex-wife, Kathryn Richardson of Douglas, two sons, Paul Harvey and Gilbert Harvey, Jr. both of Douglas, a granddaughter, Christian Nichole Harvey of Jacksonville, FL.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 P M with Stevie Johnson doing the eulogy. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Monday evening between 6 and 9 P M.
