Glenda Faye Carter, 75, of Mershon passed away on June 16, 2020 at Memorial Satilla in Waycross after an extended illness. She was born in Wayne County to the late Norwood Flowers and Clara George Flowers. Mrs. Carter had made Alma her home since 1980. She was a member of Carters Chapel Church in Scuffletown.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles William "C.W." Carter, Jr. and two sisters, Virginia Parra and Sarah Coley.

Survivors include two children, Dr. Charles William Carter, III of Rome, GA., Rita Hayes and husband Perry of Jesup; two grandchildren, Brandi Kelly and husband Kenn and Jason Hayes and wife Lena of Jesup, two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Elijah Kelly of Jesup, three brothers, Paul Flowers and wife Marjorie of St. Simons Island, Douglas Flowers of Alma and Carson Flowers and wife Lajuan and one sister, Betty Landon of Jesup.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 18 ^th at 3:00 PM at Carter's Chapel Church with Pastor Kathy Palmer officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 PM until funeral time. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be; Jason Hayes, Rocky Lane Jason Griffis, Tim Hickox and Brad Clitt. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
