Glenn Caswell Long, age 90, of Callahan, Florida passed away on May 9, 2021 at St. Vincent's Hospice in Jacksonville, Florida after an extended. Born in Nassau County, Florida on October 30, 1930 to Cecil Long and Nellie Higginbotham Long.

Mr. Long served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict; retired as Principal from the Callahan Elementary and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Callahan, Florida.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Stanley Long and two stepsisters, Blondeon Musslewhite and Melvene McDonald. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Dolores Deen Long; one son, Ferrell Long and a stepsister, Clarice Trawick all of Callahan.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at 10:30 AM at First United Methodist Church in Callahan, Florida. Following the memorial the family will receive friends at Crosby Funeral Home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Springfield Cemetery with Dr. Larry Gillespie and Pastor Daniel Search officiating. Active pallbearers are Dr. Michael Deen, Dr. Roy Deen, Bradford Deen, Jeffrey Deen, Johnathan Deen and Terry Douglas.
