Grady Phillip Godwin, age 64, of Nahunta passed away March 11, 2022 at his residence after an extended illness. Born in Bacon County on March 6, 1958 to David Alexander Godwin and Jessie Mae Allen Stewart. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Cathy Chesser Godwin; brothers, Ronnie Godwin, Dale Godwin and sisters, Evelyn Harris, Betty Hughes, Wanda Anderson and Shirley Ann Medders.

Survivors include three children Brooke Godwin, Amy Middleton and Eric Hayes; brothers, Charles Godwin and Jerry Godwin; sisters, Jessie Medders of Alma, Kathy Burkett and Karen Story and 4 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2022 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Lloyd officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral Saturday from 12:00 PM until funeral time. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Church Cemetery in Brantley County.

Active pallbearers will be; Logan Martin, Shane Burkett, Dalton Burkett, Jason Thompson, Johnny Thrift and David Earl Thrift. Honorary pallbearers will be; Kelli Boatright and Bethany Hospice.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
