Henry Billy Gilliard, Jr. age 70, of Nicholls passed away Sunday, November 11th at Community Hospice in Vidalia after an extended illness. He was a native of Coffee and son of the late Henry Billy Gilliard, Sr. and Ovida Nettles Gilliard; was preceded in death by two brothers, Doc and Earl Gilliard. He was retired from the Jacksonville Shipyard after twenty- five years of employment.

Survivors include one son, Randy Gilliard (Kari) of Nicholls, two daughters, Kelly Price (Perry) of Sylvester, GA and Tammy Williams of Reidsville, GA, two brothers, Jimmy Gilliard and Bobby Gilliard of Nicholls, four sisters, Mary Griffin of Nicholls, Glenda Mize of Valdosta, Jeannett Bradt of Douglas and Beverly Ann Holton of Nicholls, five grandchildren, Amanda Thompson, Leesburg, GA, Shelby Thompson, Valdosta, GA, Demi Sheffield of Reidsville, GA, Kayli and Chase Gilliard of Nicholls and two great-grandchildren, Tymber Harris of Leesburg, GA and Greyson Glisson of Reidsville, GA.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 15th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Bro. Sidney Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Dry Creek Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Thursday morning from 11:00 AM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Bobby Gilliard, Jr., Willie, Earl, Gaston, Benjie, & Ed Griffin. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
