Mr. Henry L. Padgett, age 67, of Mershon passed away at the Bacon County Hospital on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 after a short illness. The son of Olen "Sonny" Padgett and Lucille Beecher Padgett born on May 5, 1952 in Appling County. He was preceded in death by brother Wendell Padgett, sisters, Karen Bryant, Gloris Ann Padgett and Vonzille Stubbs. He was a member of the Alma Church of God.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years Patsy McCarty Padgett, daughters Peggy Crews (Scott) of Mershon and Melinda Beverley (Tony) of Manor, GA. sisters, Joyce Crosby (Wendell), Doris Taylor (David) of Baxley and Sharon Lowther of Alma, six grandchildren Whitney Kavel (Christopher) of Natalia, TX., Gunner Carter of Baxley, GA., Kalee Thrift (Allen) of Jesup, Cameron Crews of Mershon, Madisann and Kenadee Beverley of Manor.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 13 ^th at 11:00 at Alma Church of God with Bro. R. B. Gaskins, Bro. Travis Peavy and Bro. Curt Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6 and 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Willie Beecher, Jeffery Carter, Jeff Moody, Marcus Taylor, Jason Taylor and Jamie Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be; Alma Church of God Adult Sunday School Class, David Moore and Jerry Boatright.
