Hoyt Berry "H.B." Miles, age 70 of Baxley passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018 at the VA Hospital in Augusta, Georgia after an extended illness. He was born in Bacon County on September 8, 1948 to the late Ima "Bud" Miles and Theara Deen Miles. Three brothers Floyd, Earl and James Miles preceded him in death. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Deborah Lynn Miles, four children, David H. Miles, Kenneth Wayne Miles, Michelle Suzanne Gurley (Howard) all of Baxley and Jessica Marie Miles of Odum, GA., two sisters, Betty Jean Miles Spivey of Alma and  Glenda Lenell Thompson Miles of Baxley; 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Miles Chapel Church in Appling County.
