Hubert Lawson, age 89, of Alma passed away at the Bacon County Hospital on June 27, 2020 after an extended illness. He was born in Coffee County on November 13, 1930 to the late Lee Lawson and Mina Poole Lawson. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by six brothers, Tyree Lawson, Paul Lawson, Talmadge Lawson, Emmitt Lawson, James Lawson and Randolph Lawson and a sister, Marie Lawson Douglas.

Mr. Lawson served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and attended the Douglas Chapel Baptist Church.

Survivors include a special niece, Mary Thorn and husband Claude of Alma and several other nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held Tuesday, June 30 ^th at 11:00 AM at the Douglas Family Cemetery.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
