Insley "Cotton" Meeks, age 73, of Hinesville, Georgia passed away Tuesday, February 17th at his residence after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late Marvin Meeks and Rena Rigdon Meeks; was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve Meeks, four brothers, Marvin Meeks, Jr., James Quinon Meeks, Joffard "Joddy" Meeks, Jerry Dennis Meeks and two sisters, Jennell Wildes and Wannell Herrington.

Survivors include two children, Craig Meeks (Hope) of Savannah, Ga. and Melissa Morgan (Jerry) of Hinesville, Ga., one sister, Carolyn Ivey (Johnny) of Alma, 5 grand children and 4 great- grand children.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 21st at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Chaplin John Goetz officiating. Interment will follow in Mercer Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Chad Lee, Charles Wildes, Eddie Gillard, Troy Ivey, Jerry & J. P. Morgan. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
