Irving William Strickland Jr, age 82, of Waycross passed away peacefully on September 21st, 2021 surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong resident of Ware County, and is the son of the late Irving William Strickland Sr. and Lorita Bennett Strickland. Irving is survived by his wife, Beth Taylor Strickland of Alma, children, Irving William Strickland, III and his wife, Pilar of Los Angeles CA, and Amber Elizabeth Bloomston and her husband Adam of Atlanta, his four grandchildren, Luke and Claire Strickland, and Strickland and Camille Bloomston and his brother, Gary Strickland and his wife Cathy of Waycross.

Irving served in the military, attended Officer Candidacy School and was a member of the Alabama National Guard.  Irving was a native of Ware county, and returned home to work in the forestry industry until his retirement.

The family will have a private graveside service at Elizabeth Chapel.
