Obituary

Ivis Euthema (Teamie) Winn Bennett, age 94, went home to be with the Lord January 26th in a hospice suite at Wayne Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Pierce County and daughter of the late Jim L. Winn and Martha Ella Hyers Winn. Teamie was preceded in death by her husband Averette Jereal (Dobbie) Bennett, Sr., six brothers and eight sisters. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bristol Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sons, Jereal Bennett (June) of Patterson, Jerry Bennett of Bristol and Reggie Bennett (Leticia) of Bristol, three daughters, Jeanie Henderson (Miller) of Bristol, Joyce Griffis (Mikell) of Patterson and Jan Kimmons (Marshall) of Mershon, a sister, Melba "Meb" Boatright of Bristol, and a special friend Willene Tuten of Bristol also 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Friday, January 29th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Daniel Harding and Pastor Steve Beal officiating and a eulogy given by Julie Ann Bennett. Interment will follow in the Mershon Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6 to 9 PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of South Georgia 1625 Sunset Blvd. Jesup, Ga. 31545.

Active pallbearers will be; Brett Bennett, Heron Steedley, John Ratliff, Jr., Ray Bennett, Clay Kimmons, Jamie Boyett, Ty Wright, Roy Carnes and Phillip Bennett. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
