J. C. Purvis, age 70, of Alma passed away suddenly January 11, 2025 at Bacon County Hospital. He was born July 3, 1954 in Canton, Ohio to the late Preston Purvis and Leveda Moody Haley. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Ronald Purvis.

Survivors include his daughter, Pamela Purvis; grandson, Parker Griffin; brothers, Donald Purvis wife Cathy; sisters, Sarah Miles husband Winston, Judy Boatright husband Larry and Gail Wheeler husband Randy and stepbrothers, Tommy Haley and Billy Haley. Also several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Alma Church of God.
