J C Taylor, Jr. age 69, of Alma died Tuesday, September 15th at his residence after a short illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late J C Taylor, Sr. and Elvie Pauline Glosson Taylor and preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Ware and two sisters, Wilma Moon and Lillie Faye Moore. He was a member of Mount Pleasant Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Geraldine Rigby Taylor of Alma, two sons, Tim Taylor (Wanda) and Tuck Taylor (Kayla) of Alma and a daughter, Tammy Martinez (Joe) of Jacksonville, FL., a son- in-law, Kevin Ware of Baxley, GA.; also 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, September 20th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Rigdon, Rev. Lonnie Spikes officiating and Danny Carter will be doing the grave side service. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery on Hwy 203. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Bruce Burnette, Larry Barber, Jr., Terry Barber, Jessie Miller, Randy Martin and David Crosby. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
