Obituary

Jack Boatright, age 80, of Waycross died Thursday morning February 6, 2014 at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County but had lived in Waycross the past 6 years. He was son of the late Joe Lester Boatright and Susie Smith Boatright and was also preceded in death by a sister, Katie Boatright, two brothers, Leon and Ernest Boatright. Jack was a self employed successful Car Dealer for many years, attended Martha Memorial Methodist Church, had served in the U S Army and was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife Cheryl Anderson Boatright of Waycross, two step-daughters Karen Thompson (Timmy), Shawnda McDaniel (Frankie) all of Waycross, a sister, Wilma Boatright (Frank) of Jesup, six step-grandchildren, Cameron Gill, Dylan Allen, Nicolus McDaniel all of Waycross, McKenzie McDaniel of Kingsland, Riley and Marley Hilton of Alma, many nieces and nephews and three lap buddies, Katie, Cootsie and Ozzey also survive.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Timmy Oliver and Rev. R B Gaskin officiating. Interment will follow in Martha Memorial Church Cemetery. The family will be will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday evening between 6 and 9 P M.

Active pallbearers will be, Skyler Oliver, Jerry, Ronnie, Joe and Hip Boatright, Billy Prater and Pierre. All others in attendance will be considered as honorary.
