Jackie Bagley, age 78, of Alma passed away Wednesday, December 31st at the Bacon County Hospital after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County and daughter of the late Loy Williams and Mamie Clements Williams. Jackie was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Bagley, sister, Lillie (Sister) Williams, brother, Delmus (Buddy) Williams, two nephews, Mark & Blake Thompson and three brother in laws, Jimmy Thompson, Buddy Taylor and Edward Gilliard. She retired from the Bacon County Housing Authority after 30 years.
Survivors include three children, Donna Hyers (Ronnie), Gena Jackson and Greg Bagley of Alma, three sisters, Bonnie Williams, Jeannine Taylor of Alma and Cathy Frye (Howard) of Guyton, Ga., four grandchildren, Brandi McKenzie (Cam), Kyle Hyers (Alicia) and Kayla Hyers of Alma and Ashlee Vickers (Corey) of Ambrose, GA. and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 3rd at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Giles and Rev. Pet Hayes officiating. Interment will follow in Bagley Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral Friday from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Cam McKenzie, Corey Vickers, Shame Moore, Bubba Thompson, Kyle Hyers, Hunter Moore, Erik Dudley and Austin Hyers. Honorary pallbearers will be; Staff of Twin Oaks Nursing Home, Dr. Clay Carter & Staff, Susan & Bill Hyers, Connie & Jimmy Mercer, Shannon & Brian Bagley, Patsy & Lowell Lee, Susan Lane and Arrowanna McDaniel.
