Obituary
Jackie Rogers, age 69, of Blythe Island Brunswick, Georgia passed away May 25, 2016 at her residence after an extended illness. She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late Grady Tanner and Easter (Dink) Meeks Tanner and preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Joey V. Tanner, one sister Nell Joiner and two nephews Joey V. Tanner, Jr. and Ricky M. Taylor.
Survivors include her husband of 22 years, Danny Rogers, a son, Kenneth Shayne Kyser of Blythe Island Brunswick, Georgia, brother, Gary D. Tanner of Fitzgerald, Georgia, sister Verlene Johnson (Roy) of Alma, two step grandsons and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 27th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. T.F. Yawn and Rev. Tommy Rigdon officiating. Interment will follow in Wolf Pit Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until funeral time.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Hospice of Golden Isles 1692 Glyno PKWY Brunswick, Georgia 31525.
Active pallbearers will be: Kevin Parker, Perry Johnson, Stewart Clifton, Fred Sherotski, Mitchell Tanner and Casey Rogers. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
Crosby Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
