Jacqueline "Jackie" Boatright, age 56, of Alma passed away Thursday, June 16th at Hospice of the Golden Isles after a short illness. She was a native of Glynn County, but had lived most of her life in Appling County. Jackie was daughter of the late Raynell Lightsey and Odessa Dyal Lightsey and was preceded in death by a sister Sandra Kay White. She worked with the Appling County School System in the Nutrition Department for over 18 years and was a member of New Life Apostolic Church in Blackshear.

Survivors include two sons Lucas Boatright and fiancé Kristy Stone and Kyle Boatright, a daughter, Kacey Porter (Robert) all of Baxley, a brother Rev. James Lightsey (Tasha) of Patterson, a sister Andrea "Punk" Johnson (Steven) of Alma, four grandchildren Bladen and Kadee Johnson, Emily Boatright and Gracey Porter.

Funeral services will be held Sunday June 19th at 2:00 PM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. James Lightsey and Pastor Dean Kapp officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be Barry LaRoche, Jake Gordon, Adam Barber, Michael Page, Rev. Rabbitt Gordon and Bobby Emery. Honorary pallbearers will be; Class of 1978, Appling County Board of Education and her church family.
