James Rodney Ahl, age 61, of Alma passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at Hospice Satilla in Waycross after a short illness. He was born on November 1, 1956 in Glynn County to the late James Monroe Ahl and Maedell Bell Ahl and was preceded in death a his stepson, Chad Buckins. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Sandra Emery Ahl of Alma, his daughter, Bridget Averill (Jay) of Ludowici, GA., stepdaughter, Angela Hill (Keith) of Mershon, GA., a brother, Gerald Ahl (Syble) of Brunswick, GA., 8 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 22 ^nd at 2:00 PM at Antioch Baptist Church with Re. Donnie Mullis officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the church from 12:00 PM until funeral time. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be: Luke Robinson, Hunter Hill, Tyler Hill, Dawson Murray, Caleb Nails and Westley Robinson. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
