James Boyd Martin, Jr., age 75, of Alma passed away May 20, 2023 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born September 28, 1947 in Parkersburg, West Virginia but lived most of his life in Bacon County.

Mr. Martin served in the US Marines during the Vietnam Era and was a retired Construction Worker.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Boyd Martin, Sr. and Jessie Doty Martin, three brothers, Bill Martin, Donald Martin and Ross Martin.

Survivors include three children, Michael Martin (wife Angie) of Panama City Beach, James Boyd Martin, III of Baxley and Jessie Coates (husband Kevin) of Enterprise, AL; brother, Mike Martin of Alma; sisters, Cookie Martin of Alma and Kathi Douglas (husband Earl) of Valdosta; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Memorialization will be by cremation.
