James Anthony Conrad, age 67, of Alma passed away Sunday, September 6, 2020 at the Bacon County Hospital after an unexpected illness. He was born on March 17, 1953 in Bacon County.  His parents were James Clyde Conrad and Esther Ruth Mills Conrad.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Melba Burch. Tony retired after 30 years from Plant Hatch as an Electrical Engineer.

Survivors include his brother, Danny Conrad of Virginia; sisters, Sharon Conrad of Alma, Theresa Gray of Waycross and Rhonda Conrad ( Jason Airlie) of Clayton , GA., a niece Esther Hardwick, nephews, Clyde and Carl Fraley, Stacy and Lee Ricketson, Kyle Boatright, as well as several great nieces and nephews.

Tony was a quiet, unassuming, and generous man who worked hard each day of his life. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, cooking and country music.  Tony especially treasured time spent with his siblings. He was the "go to person" in the family. His friends were very important to him.

Tony will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered.
