James Danny Peacock, age 66, of Alma passed away suddenly December 11th at the Bacon County Hospital. He was a native of Bacon County, son of the late Oden J. Peacock and Allowee Vickers Peacock Murphy and was preceded in death by a sister, Virginia Watson. Danny was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church and a retired bus driver.

Survivors include one son, Lesley Peacock (Carel) of Mt. Pleasant, SC. a daughter, Rachel Ahl, brother, Kennith Peacock (Wanda), sister, Joann Mullis (Edwin) of Alma three grandchildren, Garrett Ahl of Alma and Nolan and Ellie Peacock of Mt. Pleasant, SC. and a very special friend, Janie Baladez.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 14th at 11:00 AM at Big Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Vic Peacock and Rev. Bill Stone officiating. The body will be carried to the church at 10:00 AM to lie in state. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6 and 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Willie McKinnon, Gene Vickers, Jackie Moore, R. B. Gaskins, Dominque Baladez and Allen Ahl. Honorary pallbearers will be; Board of Education, Bacon County Bus Drivers, Raymond Theus, James Davis, Freddie Simmons, Clinton Jarrard, Matilda & Quinton Baladez.
