James Leroy Dubberly, age 80, of Dothan, AL died at his home early Thursday morning April 10 ^th , 2014 after an extended illness. He was a native of Appling County, Georgia but had lived in Waycross and Moultrie, GA for several years before moving to Dothan in 1971. He was son of the late Russell Franklin Dubberly and Nellie Davis Dubberly and was also preceded in death by a brother Julian Mincey.  He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict while serving in the U S Army, worked with Swift & Company where he retired after 32 years of employment and was a member of Cloverdale Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of 62 wonderful years, Virginia Wade Dubberly of Dothan, 3 sons, Steve J Dubberly of Alma, Wayne Dubberly of Geneva, AL, Scott Dubberly (Shelia) of Dothan, AL, 3 brothers, Franklin Dubberly of Griffin, GA, Huey & Curtis Dubberly of Waycross, GA, 2 sisters, Evyon Holmes of Hortense, GA, Delphine Stone of Waycross, 6 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 o'clock from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Rowell officiating, a eulogy by son, Wayne Dubberly.  Interment will follow in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 P M till funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be, Allen, Stephen, Bradley and Matthew Dubberly, Keith and Milton Wade.
