James H. Johnson, Jr., age 58, of Nicholls passed away suddenly, October 29, 2026 at Coffee Regional Medical Center. He was born November 1, 1967 in Fort Pierce, Florida to the late Rev. James Johnson, Sr and Evelyn Louise Starnes Johnson.

Survivors include his brother, Paul Johnson (Genie) of Nicholls; sister, Tammy Adams (Charlie) of Tuscaloosa, AL; nieces and nephews, Alexis Tanner (Joshua), Kevin Adams (Ciara), Chasity Johnson, Paul Johnson, Jr. and Elijah Johnson; great nieces and nephews, Isabella, Parker, Sawyer, Walker and Stetson Tanner and Nicholas Meeks and cousins Billy Starnes (Jamie) and Jim White.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Meeks Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Paul Johnson, Elijah Johnson, Billy Starnes, Kevin Adams, Charlie Adams and Nicholas Meeks. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.

Crosby Funeral Home will oversee arrangements.
