James Larry "Butch" Turner, age 77, of Alma passed away on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the Bacon County Hospital after a short illness. He was born in Alma November 8, 1941 to the late James Dock Turner and Irene Crosby Turner.

Mr. Turner was preceded in death by his wife Joan Mobley Turner. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion and served in the U. S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include three children, Jack Turner (Michelle) of Alma, GA., Jill Bailey (Tony) of Metter, GA. and Carrie Miller (Tommy) of Cleveland, GA., 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

No service will be held.
