James Harvey Spell, age 73, of Alma passed away suddenly at his residence on Friday, March 17, 2017 after an extended illness. He was a native of Bacon County and son of the late James Spell and Audrey Mae Peacock Spell. James was preceded in death by his daughter Tina Marie Spell, brother Roger David Spell and a sister Carol Joanne Bello. He was a welder for many years and served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Era.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Brenda Blair Spell of Alma and a brother Larry (Deborah) Spell of Hazlehurst, GA.

Graveside services will be held Monday, March 20th at 11:00 AM at Wolf Pit Cemetery.

Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
