Jamie Truitt Boatright, age 50, of Mershon passed away on September 5, 2021 after a short illness. Born in Jeff Davis County on October 24, 1970 but had lived most of his life in Bacon County. He was preceded in death by a nephew, Brandon Boatright. Jamie was a graduate of the Bacon County High School Class of 1988.

Survivors include his wife, April Miller Boatright of Mershon; two daughters, Amy Michelle Boatright and Chelsea Renee Boatright of Alma; father, Archie Boatright, Sr. (Brenda) of Mershon, mother, Annie Merle Johnson of Douglas; two brothers, Archie Boatright, Jr. (LeAnne) of Parker, CO. and John Boatright (Nicole) of Mershon; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and a nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Bishop R. B. Gaskins and Donnie Mullis officiating. Interment will follow in Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Thursday morning from 10:00 AM until funeral time.

Active pallbearers will be; Ethan Boatright, Jared Boatright, Ben Hatten, Ernie Hatten, Samuel Wilson, Robbie Bolton, Phillip Keeter and Brandon Crosby. Honorary pallbearers will be; Class of 1988, Joshua Boatright and Tyler Boatright.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
