Janet Darlene Edmundson, age 60, of Alma passed away December 6, 2021 at Hospice Satilla after a short illness. She was a native of Ware County and daughter of the late Norwood B. McQuaig, Sr. and Nellene Thomas McQuaig.

Mrs. Jan was employed by FNB South and was a member of the Alma First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 37 years, Barry William Edmundson of Alma; brother, Buddy McQuaig and wife Carrie of Blackshear; sister, Tammy Benchoff and husband Robert of Waycross and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Alma First Baptist Church with Pastor Ron Sweatt, Pastor Richard Johnson and Pastor David Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Friday from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Jonathan Douglas, Mike Edmundson, Michael Hurst, Britt Peacock, Dylan McQuaig, Stephen McQuaig, Ricky Gilliard and Travis Lightsey. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escort.

Crosby Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.
