Janice Marie Farmer, age 59, of Blackshear passed away May 17, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross after an extended illness. She was on May 8, 1957 to the late Johnny W. Stallings and Maudine Hall Cribb. Janice was preceded in death by her husband Houie L. Farmer and a stepbrother, D.J. Strom. She was a member of Jesus Church in Scuffletown.

Survivors include her son, Matthew Farmer of Blackshear, one sister Ann Griner (Walter), a stepsister, April Adams (Lee) both of Hortense, GA., three stepbrothers, Clarence "Punkin" Cribb of Cordele, GA., Steven Strom (Molly) of North Carolina and Jim Durrance (Lauren) of Atkinson, GA., "Daddy" Jimmy Durrance (Irene) of Hortense, GA., nieces and nephew, Renee Proctor (Richard) of Waynesville, GA., Ashley Cooley (Jesse) of Hortense, GA. and Joseph Durrance (Brittany) of Brunswick, GA.; also a great niece and nephew, Deanna and Dustin Proctor.

A memorial service will be held Sunday, May 22nd at 2:00 PM at the Jesus Church in Scuffletown, Georgia.
