Janice Katherine Harris, age 65, of Alma passed away Monday, March 7th due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was the daughter of the late John Franklin Crowe. Janice was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include her mother, Delia Latrelle Lee Crowe of Waycross, her husband, Angus Wade Harris, Sr. of Alma, one son, Jeffery Scott Thompson of Alma, a daughter, Kimberly Sue Thompson Harrison (Patrick) of Hinesville, GA., three step children, Angus Wade Harris, Jr. of Lake City, FL., Kevin Wade Harris and Kari Jayne Harris both of Albemarle, NC., one brother, John Chesley Crowe (Cindy) of Waycross, two sisters, Alice Marie Crowe Neidlinger of Savannah, GA. and Teresa Diane Joiner of Waycross; also 3 step grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren survive.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 10th at 11:00 AM from the Chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with President Ricky McDowell and Elder Robert Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6 to 9 PM.
Active pallbearers will be; Jonathan McDowell, Brian Porter, Brent Lassiter, Chase Flowers, Elder Hutchings and Elder Hyten. Honorary pallbearers will be; Emory Lester Rouse and all others in attendance.
