Janie La'Fern "Fern" Lee, age 94 of Alma passed away at her residence on August 31, 2019 after an extended illness. Daughter of Walter Thigpen and Janie Viola Dykes Thigpen born in Ware County on July 29, 1925. Her husband Rex Lee, daughter Amelia Lee, son Randy Lee, sisters Mildred Lee, Jean Parker and Christine Thigpen preceded her in death. She was a member of the Virginia Avenue Baptist Church in Atlanta, Georgia.

Survivors include three children Billy Lee of Atlanta, GA., Peggy Whelchel of Covington, GA. and Pam Graham of Alma, six grandchildren Wanda Whelchel, Allen Whelchel, Michelle Snyder, Jennifer Thomas, Jay Graham and Jordan Watkins and three great-grandchildren Kevin Thomas, Jr., Jaylee Rose Graham and Jay Deese Graham.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 2, 2019 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of Crosby Funeral Home with Bro. Travis Lee and Bro. Greg Delk officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Lawn Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Sunday from 6 to 8 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Jay Graham, Buddy Watkins, Kevin Thomas, Jr., Mike Lee, Allen Whelchel, Wade Snyder, David and Daniel Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers will be; Sandy Harden, Delama Hampton, Nell Wood, Jeanette Parker, Tina Thompson, Kayla Taylor, Spring Atha, Sean Sheppard, Ware Visiting Nurses, Bethany Hospice, Dr. Harrison Carter and Staff, Bacon County Hospital and Staff.
